② The same compositional device used by Seurat and Hokusai

I recently found a picture of a Kabuki actor from the late Shunrou(Hokusai) period on the internet. The most interesting point is that the curves of the banner at the top of the picture seems to be similar to the curves of hakama. I can confirm it by making the large circle-arc model. It reminds me of Seurat's "Cancan". The bends in the upper part of the rim of” Can-can” form an important basic element.
