Conditions for art theory to be science

Genuine art theory should be able to explain all  artworks  using the same principles. Great artworks are made of the same elements that can be distinguished visually. Each hole in the vertical flute, said to be the world's oldest musical instrument, produce a different sound.  A series of different sounds is a melody line. Likewise, a good drawing line is a series of line segments with distinct bents. Lines with different bents are arcs of different circles. You can create a picture structure using circles of different sizes.  This is called an arc-circle model.
